Located within the Peak District National Park, Chatsworth is home to the Devonshire family. It comprises a Grade 1 listed house and stables, a 105-acre garden, a 1822-acre park, a farmyard and adventure playground, and one of Europe's most significant private art collections.

Chatsworth plays an important role in the local community as a thriving cultural and educational destination, a nationally important historic landscape, and a working estate that operates with a mindful approach to the environment and sustainability.

Chatsworth is also a registered charity, The Chatsworth House Trust, registered in England and Wales No. 511149.

The Chatsworth House Trust

The Chatsworth House Trust was established in 1981 to look after the house, collections, garden, woodlands and park for the benefit of everyone. Every penny of visitor admission income goes directly to the Trust.

Celebrating our 40th anniversary

In 2021 we celebrated 40 years as a charity. We marked this milestone with a short film honouring the hard working team and volunteers who help us achieve our charitable objectives and create a lasting legacy for our Friends, Patrons, sponsors and visitors.

With 100% of admissions and events income going directly to pay the operating and running costs, we are reliant on the continued goodwill of our visitors and the wider community to maintain and share the jewel that is Chatsworth and the surrounding landscape.

If you are able to, please donate today and help us to protect Chatsworth for future generations.

Thank you.
