Join experienced art facilitator Kerry Fernandez for a beginner's drawing class inspired by this year's exhibition, The Gorgeous Nothings: Flowers at Chatsworth.
Based in the Chatsworth Garden and learning centre (The Old Potting Shed), you will be guided through how to study and draw a variety of flowers and plants, using simple steps.
This class will teach you easy-to-follow techniques using both line and colour, and working with pencils, pen, pastels and water-based crayons. You will create a series of observational drawings of varied and colourful plants in the garden.
Materials
You will be provided with all materials required for this session, including paper and a clipboard.
You are welcome to bring your own sketchbook if you prefer - we recommend a sketchbook no bigger than A4, spiral bound, containing good quality cartridge paper of a minimum weight of 160 gsm.
Suitable for beginners - no previous experience of drawing is required for this course.
Refreshments
Tea, coffee and water will be provided.
