Join us as we celebrate a shared culture of making and collaboration, through a large-scale exhibition of 12 monumental sculptures that is free to access and enjoy for all in the park surrounding Chatsworth.

Murder inc is located on the North Drive to the house, and is only accessible during house opening hours.
Burning Man is a unique event that usually takes place annually in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada, USA, and we have worked with the Burning Man team and artists to bring its distinctive culture of possibility and creativity to the Derbyshire landscape.
Radical Horizons: The Art of Burning Man at Chatsworth features eight existing sculptures and four works built on site. These include three new participatory sculptures that have been created in the parkland with the help of local schools and community groups over the course of the year, mirroring the build process at Burning Man that sees teams of volunteers gathering in the desert to create new artworks.
Visiting the exhibition
The exhibition is free to access*, however if you are visiting by car, and wish to park at Chatsworth, please purchase a car parking ticket in advance, same day tickets are available. Please note that if you book a ticket for the house, garden or farmyard, parking is included, and you do not need to book a separate car park ticket. If you wish to only use the car park, an advance car park ticket must be booked.

Celebratory burn event
Join us on 1 October for the spectacular finale of Radical Horizons, as we set alight one of the 12 monumental sculptures in the exhibition.
Exploring the sculptures
Get up close to the sculptures – use all of your senses – and create your own journey around them.
Visit the Radical Horizons welcome hub to talk with our volunteers and young ambassadors, book a guided tour, or pick up an activity sheet and get creative.

Accessibility information
Nine sculptures are set into the grass parkland, across an area just over one mile long and approximately half a mile wide. There is no fixed route or path from one sculpture to another, we recommend you leave at least two to three hours to see them all.
Seven sculptures are near to a tarmac road or gravel path. Many of the sculptures are large or tall and so can be seen from a distance. Whilst we have made every effort to ensure as much accessibility as possible for all our visitors, getting up close to the sculptures may not be possible for everyone.

Radical Horizons is situated in the parkland surrounding Chatsworth. This land is free to access, and there is no admission fee for the exhibition*. The park is managed and maintained by the Chatsworth House Trust, the charity dedicated to the long-term preservation of Chatsworth House, the collections, garden, woodlands and park for the long-term benefit of visitors. The trust relies on visitor admissions and donations for the majority of its income. If you would like to make a donation to the trust, we would be deeply grateful for your support.
