Visitors to the Christmas market now have the option to catch a new park and ride service operating between Calton Lees car park and Chatsworth.
The service will be operating Friday - Sunday for the duration of the market. View dates & availability.
Prices
Fridays: £20 per vehicle
Saturday or Sunday: £25 per vehicle
Entry to Chatsworth Christmas market is free.
All tickets must be pre-booked.
Times
The bus will operate between 10am - 1pm and 2pm - 5pm.
There is no alternative transport if you miss the last shuttle bus.
Your ticket is for parking and travel to/from the market by bus only. It does not allow entry to Chatsworth House, Garden, Farmyard or Playground.

How it works
Select a date to visit the market from those listed above.
Book a ticket for each vehicle in your party (must have less than 10 seats).
Arrive at Calton Lees Car Park on the day of your visit.
Present your booking confirmation QR code for scanning on arrival at the car park booth. Each vehicle on your booking must have a copy of the booking confirmation QR code to present for scanning on arrival. Once the QR code has been scanned to admit each car in the booking, it will no longer work.
Please collect a token for each passenger (including children) from the car park booth before boarding the shuttle bus.
The shuttle bus stop is located at the bottom end of the car park, nearest to the garden centre.
On boarding the bus, please present your token to the driver
Your bus will drop you on the 'lodge apron' at Chatsworth, next to the Christmas market.
You will catch your return bus from the same location. Please have your ticket ready to show staff manning the park and ride stop.
Important information:
If you miss the last bus, for whatever reason, you will need to organise your own transport to Calton Lees carpark. No refunds will be given.
Children on the bus
All passengers, including children, must obtain a token to travel on the bus from the car park booth at Calton Lees.
Please remain seated at all times.
Seats are fitted with seatbelts and will accommodate a passenger's own car seat with seatbelt closures (non-isofix). Child car seats are not provided.
Unfortunately, car seats cannot be accommodated in left luggage lockers, but they can be left in the pram parking bays by the house entrance. Seats are left at your own risk and will not be monitored.

Dogs
Well behaved dogs on leads are permitted on the shuttle bus.
Accessibility
Unfortunately, the park and ride shuttle bus is not wheelchair accessible.
The bus has a low entrance step, which is close to ground level. There are then a few steps, with handrails, that lead up to the seating area.

Park and Ride Service Terms and Conditions
The bus service is provided for passengers travelling between the designated pick-up and drop-off points only. The bus will not make any unauthorised stops.
All passengers must pre-purchase a parking ticket valid for the date of travel. The ticket must be available for scanning on a mobile phone or clearly printed out, and must be produced on request.
A token must be obtained for each passenger, including children, from the car park booth at Calton Lees before boarding the bus.
Chatsworth reserves the right to refuse travel to anyone who does not comply with these terms.
Passengers must treat the driver and staff with respect at all times.
Abusive, threatening, or offensive behaviour towards staff or other passengers will not be tolerated.
Any passenger behaving in such a manner may be denied passage or asked to leave the bus immediately, without refund.
Passengers are responsible for their own luggage and belongings at all times (please note that some shopping bags can be accommodated on the bus, however larger bags or items cannot be accommodated).
Chatsworth accepts no liability for loss, theft, or damage to personal items.
Eating, drinking, and smoking (including e-cigarettes) are not permitted on the bus service.
Passengers are asked to keep the bus clean and dispose of litter responsibly.
The bus service will depart promptly between the scheduled times
No refunds will be given to passengers who miss the last shuttle bus from Chatsworth to Calton Lees, regardless of reason.
Chatsworth accepts no responsibility for delays caused by traffic, weather, or circumstances beyond its control.
Chatsworth reserves the right to deny travel to any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or whose behaviour may endanger the safety or comfort of others.
By boarding the bus, passengers are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.

There is likely to be high demand for seats on this bus, and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend arriving early and allowing time for your tickets to be scanned.
There is no alternative transport arrangements available if you miss this the last bus for any reason, and no refunds will be given.

Campervans, cars, and motorbikes are welcome at Calton Lees.
These tickets are not available for minibuses or vehicles with 10 or more seats.
Please note that overnight camping is not permitted.

As you would find on public bus services, there is a small amount of space available on the bus for small to medium-sized rucksacks/bags and/or suitcases.

Collapsed prams/pushchairs can be accommodated on the bus.

Each park and ride ticket permits parking for one vehicle of less than 10 seats on your nominated day at Calton Lees car park, plus passage for its occupants on a shuttle bus service to/from Chatsworth.
The Chatsworth Christmas Market is free to enter (7 Nov - 13 Dec).
Entry to the house, garden, farmyard and playground is not included.
