Our garden tour and draw events will take place on the following dates. We'll be exploring a different area of the garden in each session:

Wednesday 13 September | Rock Garden and Arcadia

Get creative and learn about Chatsworth's beautiful garden in this hands on drawing workshop. Experience a guided tour of the garden sculpture, or Rock Garden and Arcadia, with plenty of guided observational drawing opportunities along the way.
Whatever your abilities our art tutor will help you to develop your quick sketching and drawing skills throughout this dynamic session.
There will be opportunities for drawing around the garden, along with drawing instruction and support in our art studio, the Old Potting Shed. Tea, coffee and all materials will be provided. Suitable for all abilities. 18+
Please meet at the top garden gates near the Stables at 9.20am for a 9.30 start. We will be outside whatever the weather so please dress appropriately.
Garden sculpture, inspired by our exhibition Mirror Mirror: Reflections on Design at Chatsworth
Explore the contemporary and historic sculptures on display in the garden, while learning more about this year's exhibition, Mirror Mirror: Reflections on Design at Chatsworth. Exhibition Curator Alex Hodby will be leading the tour, and our art tutor will be there to guide you as you sketch.
Rock Garden and Arcadia
The garden team will guide you around the Rock Garden and the newly developed area of the garden known as Arcadia, while our art tutor will teach you techniques for drawing the varied landscapes and rock formations you'll find in these areas.



Accessibility

Make a stay of it
With so much to see, do, and explore in the Peak District, it's a shame to only come for the day, so why not stay a little longer?
