Event details

Thursday 5 September | 5.30-7.30pm

£45 per person

Spend a tranquil evening at the Chatsworth Stickyard, our rustic outdoor learning centre. Join artist Chris Hughes, who will guide you through the handmade process of making paper by recycling waste, before collecting and adding form from natural debris, flower petals, seeds and leaves.

Chris will share insights into selecting the right mix of materials, balancing textures, colours and weights to achieve the desired paper quality.

With each step, you will discover the transformation from raw materials into handmade paper with unique character. Once the process has finished you can take home your beautiful paper to treasure.

About the session

We will be outside whatever the weather so please wear appropriate clothing and sensible shoes. We advise wearing warm clothing. Please note on your booking if you have any access requirements and we will be in contact about your needs.

Please meet at the Stickyard 10 minutes before the event start time. The path to the Stickyard is on an incline and can be rough underfoot. Please leave at least 10 minutes to reach the Stickyard from the car park.
