Event details

Saturday 28 February - Sunday 1 March 2026

10am - 1pm | £195 per person

Spend the weekend creating a unique screen printed lampshade to your own design, in this practical artist-led workshop.

About the session

The session will begin with an introduction to the screen printing process, tools and techniques. You'll then have the opportunity to experiment with surface pattern, develop your own design, and learn how to create and cut handmade stencils for printing.

Once you're confident with the process, you'll prepare your screen and inks, and practice on fabric before progressing to creating your unique handprinted repeat pattern. This printed fabric will become the foundation for your 30cm diameter lampshade.

You can choose to make a lampshade for a ceiling pendant or a lamp base.

All materials will be provided. You may like to bring an apron to protect your clothes.

Meeting point and refreshments

Please meet at the top garden gates (near the Stables) at 9.50am for a prompt 10am start.

Tickets include tea and coffee throughout the sessions.

We will break for lunch. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch, alternatively, the Carriage House Café offers hot meals, soup, and sandwiches.

Accessibility

The Old Potting Shed (our base for each session) is a step-free, accessible venue with an accessible toilet.

If you have any questions about your specific needs, or require a carer ticket, please email [email protected]
