Join our landscape team on a guided walk of historic Stand Wood, taking in the beautiful flora and fauna of the season, far reaching views and, perhaps, spotting some local wildlife.
The tour will focus on the woodland, and the team will share 'behind the scenes' stories about how they manage the 400 acres of forests while following a sustainable approach to land management.
This small group tour will offer plenty of opportunity to chat to our landscape team and ask questions about Stand Wood, its history and importance to the Chatsworth Estate.
Please meet at the top of Lodge Hill outside the entrance to the stables, under the clock tower.
Important
The tour will take place whatever the weather so please dress appropriately. We recommend sturdy boots or wellies and warm wet weather clothes.
Please note that dogs are not permitted on the landscape tours.
Accessibility
The route includes some steep inclines and steps and walking along forest tracks with the potential for mud. Unsuitable for buggies or wheelchairs. If you would like to join this event and have questions about accessibility, please contact us at [email protected] so we can discuss your specific requirements.
