About our quiet Storytime with Father Christmas experience

Join Father Christmas at the farmyard for a festive story. Children will be able to help our elves make some reindeer food and will receive a small gift to take home.

This is a quieter session of our Storytime with Father Christmas event, offering the same magical experience in a more relaxed environment. Fewer tickets are available, reducing the overall group size, so we're able to offer more support to individual children. Background music and lighting levels will be reduced.

Tickets include:

  • story time session with Father Christmas (including photo opportunity)
  • reindeer food making with elves
  • a small gift for children (suitable for children up to age 11 years)
  • entry to the farmyard and adventure playground on the day of your visit*
  • a hot drinks voucher for adult ticketholders from the farmyard cafe
  • parking for one vehicle per transaction

This is a relaxed, small group, autism friendly session.

Important information

All children aged 0 - 16 years require a ticket. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

*Please be aware of opening and last entry times so you allow plenty of time for your visit. View opening times

Christmas is the busiest time of the year at Chatsworth, and our parking arrangements may be different to those you are used to.

We recommend you leave plenty of time to travel to Chatsworth and make your way to the farmyard. Please dress appropriately for the weather, including sturdy shoes/wellingtons, and have access to a torch.

Meeting point

Please meet at the farmyard entrance 10 minutes before your session time. Latecomers may not be admitted, and no refunds will be given.

Accessibility

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

The event will take place in the Oak Barn, which is located on the upper level of the farmyard. The upper level is accessible via lift. There are accessible toilets at the farmyard.

If you have any accessibility questions, would like more information on the structure of the session or a description of the setting to help prepare your child for their visit,  or require a carer ticket, please email [email protected]
