Summer Gourmet Dinner

£125 per person

Experience an evening of seasonal dining and expertly paired wines in the Cavendish Restaurant, in association with The Lane, a boutique vineyard based in Australia.

Begin the evening with sparkling wine and canapés in the Old Duke's Glasshouse off the Rose Garden, before being seated for a four-course meal in the Cavendish Restaurant. 

The meal will be served with a selection of The Lane wines, which complement the flavours of each dish.

Timings

7pm:  Arrival for sparkling wine & canapés in the Old Dukes Glass House and Rose Garden. Welcome by Jared Stringer (CEO at The Lane Vineyard)
7.45pm: Four-course menu served in the Cavendish Restaurant
10.30pm: Carriages

Menu

First course
Garden pea and mint pannacotta with pickled radish, pancetta and a smoked Applewood crisp (V), or
Pea and mint soup with crème fraiche (VE)
paired with Gathering Sauvignon Semillon The Lane 2021

Second course
British Isles lobster tail, samphire and haddock chowder, or 
Heritage tomato tart with a balsamic glaze and feta crumb (V/VE)
paired with Beginning Chardonnay The Lane 2023

Mains
Herb-crusted estate lamb rump with a champ pomme puree, summer greens and a mint gel, or
Courgette and summer squash gnocchi with a kitchen garden herb oil (VE)
paired with Reunion Shiraz The Lane 2020 or 19th Meeting Cabernet Sauvignon The Lane 2022

Dessert
Raspberry financier with a berry curd, fresh berries and a ginger mascarpone sorbet (V/GF), or
Passion fruit delice with a pineapple, mango and mint salsa and a passionfruit sorbet (VE)
paired with Corney & Barrow Sauternes 2016

Followed by a serving of teas or locally roasted coffee with Chatsworth truffles.

Accessibility

Please head to the bottom garden entrance, where you will be met and escorted to The Old Duke's Glasshouse. After the reception, there will be a short walk between the Glasshouse and the Cavendish Restaurant, which is located at The Stables.
