Saturday 8 August

10am to 4pm

Price: £120 per person
Includes all materials and garden entry

Join Peak District Artisan Pam Smart for a creative session where we'll explore the art of pen and wash watercolour techniques, using flowers selected from the Chatsworth Garden as inspiration.

About the session

Pam will offer an introduction to the materials and techniques we'll be using to capture the beauty of a fresh posy of flowers you have collected from the garden.

Pen and wash is a simple technique to master and even beginners can feel confident in creating a unique and vibrant piece of work. Professional artists’ materials will be provided but feel free to bring along your favourite watercolour brushes if you have them. Please also provide your own apron.

The day includes entry to the garden, for you to enjoy at your own pace.

Refreshments

Tea and coffee will be provided.

We will break for lunch, so please bring a packed lunch. The Carriage House Café will be open for hot meals, soup, and sandwiches.

Meeting point and accessibility

Meet at 9.50am at the top garden gates (near the Stables) ready for a 10am start.

The Old Potting Shed is a step-free, accessible venue with an accessible toilet.

We will spend time in the cutting garden and so recommend wearing long trousers and sturdy shoes. The garden is accessible but there may be some inclines. If you have specific needs or require a carer's ticket, please contact us at [email protected].

About the artist
