There is so much to enjoy this winter at Chatsworth. Take a walk in the parkland and woodland followed by a 'winter warmer' lunch and hot drink in one of our cafes and restaurants. Our stables shop is open providing a choice of gifts, homewares, jewellery, and clothing from local makers and sustainable businesses.
We're also offering a wide range of talks, tours, and workshops themed around gardening, history, textiles, conservation, rural skills, and creative pastimes, allowing you to depart Chatsworth having learned something new.
Please note that the house and garden will be closed for general visits from 9 January to 17 March. The farmyard and playground will also be closed except during the half-term, 11-26 February.
There will be no charge for parking at Chatsworth from 9 January to 16 March (inclusive). You can also visit by bus for just £2, single fare, until 31 March.

'Showcase in the shop' returns this winter with works from 19 Peak District based artists on display and for sale in the stables shop.

Winter talk: fruit, veg and flowers

Discover the history and workings of the estate’s production gardens in this talk and Q&A by the garden team.

Get drawing in winter
28 January
Explore the garden and create a series of observational drawings of seasonal plants, trees and landscapes under expert tuition. Includes lunch and materials.

Parkland walking tour

Explore Chatsworth Park with an expert from our Landscape Team, discovering flora and fauna and learning more about how the team manages the vast estate.

Tour and draw: glasshouses
