Questions?
Please take a look at our bonfire frequently asked questions below.
- 1. Will the bonfire still take place if the weather is poor?
-
The bonfire will take place whatever the weather, so please come prepared for all weather conditions. The only exception to this is where weather conditions pose a risk to health and safety. In this situation, we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the event.
If high winds occur during the event, we reserve the right not to light the bonfire, if we believe it poses a safety risk. If this situation arises, but the fireworks do take place, no refunds will be offered.
- 2. Where do I park to attend the event?
-
The main car park and additional car parks at Chatsworth will be open during the events for anyone with a valid ticket for the bonfire and fireworks. Please note that parking in other, undesignated areas of the park is not permitted.
We recommend you wear sturdy footwear suitable for walking on uneven ground, mud and in wet weather. We will not accept responsibility for damage to footwear or personal possessions, including prams.
Trackways may become slippery; please take care and, if possible, have access to a torch.
- 3. What time do the performances start?
-
The gates will open at 6pm; entertainment will begin and food will be served from this time.
- 4. Does my ticket include admission to the garden during the day?
-
No, tickets include admission to the garden from 6pm. You can also buy day tickets to the garden here.
- 5. Can I get a refund?
-
Unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- 6. Do children need a ticket?
-
Children aged 3 and under get into the bonfire for free and do not require a ticket. Children aged 4 to 16 inclusive will need to purchase a ticket for the event at the prices quoted above.
Children aged 15 or under must be accompanied by an adult at all attractions and organised events. Accompanying adults are responsible for supervising the children in their care at all times.
- 7. When will tickets from online bookings be sent out?
-
All tickets will be sent electronically once the booking has been confirmed and your payment processed.
You must have your booking confirmation either printed out or clearly visible on a phone when you arrive. You will need to hold it up to the window of the car park booth so that it can be validated.
- 8. What's the last day for booking tickets online?
-
Online booking will be available until 11.59pm the day before the event.
On the day of the event - subject to availability - tickets will be available on site at till points and at the entrance to the event.
Please note that this event is extremely popular and is likely to sell out. You are advised to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
- 9. Can I bring chairs?
-
We do not allow chairs of any kind in the event space, including folded chairs that are being carried.
As the event takes place outdoors at night, chairs are trip hazards, and carried chairs can easily come into contact with other people, causing injury.
If you require access to a chair for mobility/health reasons, a dedicated area has been set aside in the garden where you can set up your own chair. Please be aware that this seating area has very restricted views of the bonfire and fireworks displays.
Please also note that this area is not staffed, and any chairs or personal possessions left in this area are left entirely at your own risk.
Due to the limited space available in this seating area, prams and pushchairs are not permitted.
- 10. Can I bring gazebos, tents, barbecues or awnings?
-
Barbecues, gazebos, tents, awnings and Chinese lanterns are not permitted.
- 11. Can I take photographs?

Photography is permitted for non-commercial purposes.
