Christmas at Chatsworth
4 November 2023 to 7 January 2024**
The house will be transformed with our annual Christmas displays to get everyone into the festive spirit. Please note that selected rooms on the upper floor will be closed for annual conservation during the Christmas season.

Please note – all Christmas Group visits must be booked by 10 September 2023. We are unable to take any group bookings after this date.
Christmas market

Soak up the festive atmosphere as you browse stalls offering a wide range of gifts and decorations at our annual Christmas market.

Please be aware that the minimum group size during Christmas and Christmas market is 20 visitors and the maximum group size is 55. Group visits must include house and garden entry.
Timed ticketing
We operate timed ticketing in the house at Christmas; this ensures the house does not become too busy. All groups visiting during this period must be pre-booked into an agreed time slot. Each time slot allocated at Christmas can accommodate a maximum of 55 passengers.
How to book
Christmas group bookings open in February 2023. To express an interest, please email visit@chatsworth.org Early booking is essential. Once a booking is confirmed and final payment made you will be sent a coach car parking permit that will enable you to bring your vehicle on to the estate.
Deposit and payment for Christmas visits
During our Christmas period, all groups are required to pay a non-refundable deposit of £260 within 14 days of making your booking with full payment required 14 days before their visit.
During Christmas all coaches must pre-pay for their visit two weeks before arrival. During this time, alternative arrangements for coach drop-off and parking will also apply.
Coach parking arrangement for groups
Alternative arrangements for coach arrival and parking will apply at Christmas. During the period 4 - 24 November, pre-booked coach passengers will disembark in front of the house. Coaches are then required to leave the estate to park at Peak Village in Rowsley (3.5 miles away) where free coach parking is available for Chatsworth coach parking permit holders. Please note that there is no transport provided between the two locations.
Unbooked coaches and minibuses
Please note that we are not able to take bookings from any groups wishing to visit on a grounds only/market only basis, as we have no facilities to manage ad hoc drop-offs and collections.
Unfortunately, unbooked coaches will not be permitted to drop off their passengers on the estate. All groups wishing to visit Chatsworth during Christmas must book a time slot to visit the house and garden.
Small minibuses may park in our standard car parking spaces if they fit, please note that we cannot guarantee parking on hard standing. Larger minibuses will be turned away if they do not have a parking permit.
