You will explore a range of creative techniques, including colour palettes, drawing, collage, and paper design, creating your own unique calendar complete with 24 paper pockets ready to be filled with festive surprises. Your finished piece will be mounted on a dowel rod, ready to hang on your wall at home.

What is included?

Tickets include complimentary parking for one vehicle, along with entry to Chatsworth House and Garden on the day of your workshop.

This event takes place during the Christmas Market, to which entry is free.

You may enter the house and garden at any time - a booked time slot is not required. However, please check house and garden opening times and last entry times and ensure you leave enough time for your visit.

You will need to show your booking QR code on arrival at the car park, and at the house and garden entrances.

All materials are provided, but feel free to bring any favourite drawing tools or wrapping paper and/or ribbon that you would like to recycle.

Meeting point and refreshments

Please meet at the top garden gates ten minutes before the workshop starts*.  Latecomers may not be admitted, and not refunds will be given.

The workshop will be based in our art studio, The Old Potting Shed (TOPS), located in the garden.

Tea, coffee and a farm shop mince pie are included in the workshop.

One hour is set aside for lunch. You’re welcome to bring a packed lunch, visit the on-site café or choose from a wide range of catering outlets at the Christmas markets.

Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions about accessibility or require a carer ticket.

Important information

*Please be aware that parking arrangements during the Christmas markets differ to other times of the year. It will be much busier than usual, and you may be parked in the parkland and required to travel to the house and garden on our tractor and trailer shuttle. Please leave ample time for your journey, wear appropriate clothing and have access to a torch.

As this event includes Christmas at Chatsworth tickets, we recommend reading the information included on this event page to ensure you get the most from your visit.
