Half-Term Halloween Fun

Bring your little monsters to the farmyard to meet the animals and join in with creepy Halloween themed activities this Autumn half-term.

As well as our fun daily activities, such as animal feeding and milking demonstrations, you can join in any of these spook-tacular Halloween themed events:

- Visit our pumpkin patch and choose your own pumpkin (26-31 October only)
- Carve and decorate your pumpkin to take home (26-31 October only)
- Halloween themed face painting
- Spooky Halloween themed crafts

If you're feeling brave you could even go on a mysterious journey on our spooky tractor and trailer ride - who knows what lies in store?

Please check the noticeboard on arrival for specific timings. All activities may not be available each day.

Please note: there will be a small additional charge for pumpkins and the tractor and trailer ride.

Pumpkin Carving

26 - 31 October

Pick out your favourite pumpkin from our pumpkin patch then head to our carving station. Limited availability. Until 31 October only.

Creepy Crafts

Get creative and make a creepy Halloween themed craft.

Face Painting

26 October - 3 November

Let your little monkeys be transformed into zombies, witches and ghouls.

Daily Activities

From animal feeding to milking demonstrations, there's lots of fun to be had at the farmyard.

Halloween Tractor Trailer Tour

Take a spooky Halloween tractor and trailer ride - who knows what will happen..?

Playground Adventures

From the farmyard, take the secret tunnel to the children's playground for an exciting adventure in the tree tops. There's also an Archimedes screw to fetch water from the stream, and a huge sand play area.

Little Pips Gardening Club (ages 3-5)

Fortnightly on Mondays until 14 October

A fortnightly gardening club for pre-school aged children. Explore the garden, make friends and learn new skills while making, growing and having fun.

Seedlings Gardening Club (ages 4-9)

Monthly on Tuesdays until October

An after-school gardening club where children will learn how to grow different flowers, fruits and vegetables, and discover the abundance of wildlife at Chatsworth.

Squirrels Nature Club (SEN)

28 September

A nature club for children with additional needs to explore and learn about the wildlife at Chatsworth.

Autumn Nature Scavenger Hunt

28 October

Spend a morning searching for woodland treasures and turning them into your own autumn creation.

Autumn Printmaking

29 October

Discover printmaking and create a range of colourful and creative prints to take home.
