Richard Reynolds will be retiring from his role as Devonshire Group Chief Executive at the end of July 2018. Between now and his retirement date Richard will continue to work at Chatsworth and elsewhere to effect a smooth transition and he will remain as CEO during that time.
The conclusion of the 10-year, £32 Masterplan restoration project at Chatsworth marks the end of a major chapter and so Richard decided that this is an appropriate time to establish new leadership within the group.
The Devonshire Group is now considering how he will be replaced and the recruitment process, as necessary, will commence with immediate effect.
The Duke of Devonshire: “Richard Reynolds has been a transformative influence for the Devonshire Group. My family is remarkably fortunate that he has been able to lead our programme of continuous improvement for over a decade (he started with us in 2006), establishing the group as a profitable and expanding organisation and at the same time helping to instil our values into the way everything is carried out.
“He and his wife Sheron, who devised and directed Art Out Loud, have contributed in all sorts of ways for which we will always be very grateful. They will be much missed, both personally and corporately, however their legacy will endure. Chatsworth, Bolton Abbey and Eastbourne are all in an infinitely better place than they were when Richard arrived.”
