At Chatsworth, we measure performance in terms of our triple bottom line: our social, economic and environmental impacts. We find that our visitors respect our efforts to act responsibly and they want to engage with our sustainability journey. As such, we provide a Responsible Visitor Charter containing practical suggestions for acting in a sustainable manner.
Our visitors are surveyed throughout the year, including during events such as the Chatsworth International Horse Trials and the Chatsworth Country Fair. This research is used to develop a long term plan for visitor experience and interpretation, in line with our Core Values and Chatsworth brand values.
A number of measures included in our surveys help us to gauge visitor wellbeing; these are enjoyment, value for money and likelihood to recommend. For these measures, we aim to achieve visitor feedback scores of over +90%.
The results from our 2018 visitor surveys are given below.
Please note, likelihood to recommend is calculated as the % of responses giving 9-10 out of 10 (promoters) minus the % of responses giving 0-6 out of 10 (detractors). Scores, therefore, can range from -100% to +100%.
