Drop in anytime between 10.30am - 12pm and 1pm - 2.30pm each day | Free

These activities are best suited to children aged 5+ years. Adult supervision is required.

Spend time discovering nature's 'underworld' in these free family activities staged during the February half term.

Based at the Stickyard, our outdoor learning centre, use magnifying lenses to examine the fascinating world of moss, lichen and fungi.

Look at their composition, and discover how they use trees and bark to thrive during the winter months while providing a valuable habitat for tiny creatures and bugs (invertebrates).

Discover what 'zombie trees' are and find out more about the unique habitat they provide, and you can also take part in woodland inspired art activities.

There will also be a range of woodland-inspired art activities using natural materials.  Optional woodland explorer walks will take place each day from the Stickyard area.

Venue and Meeting Point

These are drop-in activities so no booking is required and you can join at any point during the session, however, spaces are allocated on a first-come first-served basis.

The Stickyard is based at the bottom of Stand Wood, next to the Farmyard and Adventure Playground.  Access is through a gate to the right of the entrance to the farmyard, up a short steep hill.
