Booking tickets
To book member tickets and guest tickets
- Visit the book tickets page.
- Select the ticket type appropriate for your visit
- Select the date you would like to visit
- Select the number of tickets required for yourself and any guests you are bringing (and an entry time if you are visiting the house).
- Enter your membership number or email address and press apply – this will update the tickets available to show the member and discounted guest tickets.
- Add any additional cars, carer tickets or book mobility scooters/wheelchairs, or tours.
- Complete the booking and check out.
- Your booking will become visible in your membership portal, and you will receive a confirmation email.
If you are booking tickets for events, once you enter your membership number, your membership discount will be automatically applied.
Please note that you will need to present your membership card on arrival with your bookings QR code.
Important notice
We would encourage you to book in advance where possible, especially during events. At Christmas, pre-booking for all visits is essential. However, you can still visit during the main season (Mar- late Oct) without pre-booking.

The Queen's Reading Room Festival 2026
19 & 20 September
The Queen's Reading Room Festival returns with a new Festival Hub and dedicated talk theatres on the South Lawn.
Friends benefit from pre-sale access to festival passes and talk tickets.
