Learn how to develop a range of drawing techniques and create new compositions inspired by winter colours and landscapes in the Chatsworth Garden. This session is an exclusive opportunity to access the grounds of Chatsworth during the closed season.
The workshop will include getting to know your tools and learning effective techniques to use in location studies, opportunities to explore some areas of the garden and carry out observational drawings of winter flora and fauna, and time to discuss and review your creations with our experienced tutor and your course mates. No previous drawing experience is required, you’ll be carefully guided through each stage of the process. Our experience tutor will be on hand throughout the day, allowing you to follow along and ask any questions you may have.
All materials are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own drawing equipment if you wish.
The workshop will be based in our art studio - the Old Potting Shed. Tickets include tea and coffee throughout the day and a delicious graze box picnic lunch provided by the Chatsworth Farm Shop – please note we will be in touch to confirm your dietary requirements.
