Some benefits are subject to terms and conditions, such as availability throughout the year and booking requirements. We encourage you to familiarise yourself with these to help you make the most of your membership.

Visiting the house, garden and farmyard
Unlimited access to the house, garden, farmyard and playground, plus free parking during open season (March - January) is included with your membership. You also benefit from unlimited access to the farmyard and playground when it opens for February half-term.
As a Patron, you do not have to pre-book your tickets. However, we do encourage you to pre-book where possible to speed up your access and help us manage capacity levels on the day for the best possible experience.
How to book
During busy periods, such as weekends and school or bank holidays, we recommend that you book your tickets in advance.
Simply visit the book tickets page via the link below, select your required ticket type, then enter your Patrons membership number and the email associated with that number. You'll find your membership number printed on your card.
If you wish to buy guest tickets, your 10% discount will be automatically applied once you have verified your membership.
Guided Tours
Patrons receive 10% discount guided tour tickets for themselves and others included in their membership. Discounts do not apply to guest or non-member tickets.
Patron Events Programme
As a Patron, you have special access to our team, collection items, and the house and garden through a programme of dedicated events staged throughout the year. The full list of Patrons events can be found here.
These events are exclusive to Patrons of Chatsworth. Please contact [email protected] if you have not received an invitation.
Chatsworth events
Entry to these events is included with Patrons membership.
If booking in advance, please book a relevant farmyard and playground, house and garden or garden ticket. Visit the event page for details of the ticket required.

Chatsworth Family Festival | dates tbc
The Family Festival takes place in the garden and includes a series of family-focused activities including circus skills, sports, and events dedicated to children's literature and storytelling.
Chatsworth Garden and Plant Fair | 5 - 7 June 2026
Join us in the garden for expert talks and the opportunity to meet and buy from specialist plant nurseries. There will also be live music and local food.
Celebrating Jane Austen | 12 - 14 June 2026
A weekend of Regency-themed events in the house and garden to celebrate the author Jane Austen, plus other authors, events, and pastimes associated with the period.
Friends Garden Party | 4 July 2026
Join us in the garden for our annual members get-together. Bring a picnic and experience live music, tractor and trailer rides, children's entertainment and a firework finale. This event is exclusive to Chatsworth Friends and Patrons, and their guests.

Chatsworth Country Fair | 4-6 September 2026
- As a Patron, you receive a complimentary adult day ticket for every adult member. Children aged 15 and under, or included in a family membership, do not need a separate ticket.
- The link to download your tickets will be emailed to you in early August 2026, and also posted here. Please follow the instructions provided.
- Please note, your membership ID is the first 10 digits of the membership number printed on your card.
Other Chatsworth-run events
10% off Chatsworth talks, tours and workshops for membership card holders only. Guest tickets are not discounted.
- Your 10% discount will be automatically applied once you have entered your membership details.
Important - you must show your Patrons membership card along with your ticket on entry to the events or you may be refused access.

15% off Chatsworth online shop
- You no longer need to enter a promotional code to claim your 15% discount in our online shop. Simply enter your membership number along with your email address, and the discount will be applied automatically.

Chatsworth Patron terms & conditions
- Membership is valid for entry on all open days for 12 months from when you join; we’re open from mid-March until early January, and the farmyard and adventure playground are also open during February half-term. Please note the farmyard and adventure playground are closed during the country fair, but there will be a farmyard stand at this event.
- Reserving Patron tickets in advance is advised during Christmas; early November to the beginning of January.
- Children aged 15 or under must be accompanied by an adult at all attractions and organised events. Accompanying adults are responsible for supervising the children in their care at all times.
- All adult members must have a photo on the admissions system.
- Membership cards are not transferable.
- Unfortunately, we cannot refund complimentary tickets, should the event(s) be completely or partially cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control.
Tickets for Chatsworth Country Fair, Chatsworth International Horse Trials, and the Friends Garden Party are included with Chatsworth Patron membership as long as the events go ahead as planned. Patrons will be contacted by email 2-4 weeks before each event with details on how to download or apply for complimentary tickets.
You will be able to purchase discounted event tickets for yourself and others on your membership for all events that are run by Chatsworth House Trust, this includes the following: bonfire, garden theatre, catering events including at the farm shop, guided walks, experience days, and family events. These tickets are not transferrable to non-members. The discount will not apply to events that are run by third parties such as Classic Ibiza.

Chatsworth shops and restaurants
15% discount at our gift shops, estate farm shop and cafés and restaurants on presentation of your Chatsworth Patron card. Not to be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion or discount. Discount not available on gift vouchers, weddings or private dining events.
Holiday cottages
10% discount on stays at the Chatsworth and Bolton Abbey Cottages. Valid on new bookings only. Membership must be mentioned at time of booking. This discount excludes Christmas and New Year’s stays and is not available in conjunction with any special offers. To book a cottage, email [email protected] or call 01756 718 111. Devonshire Hotels & Inns
10% discount on bed and breakfast at the Devonshire Hotels & Inns. Valid on new bookings only. Membership must be mentioned at the time of booking. To book, email [email protected] or call 01756 718 111. Be sure to present your Chatsworth Patron card on arrival. This discount excludes Saturdays, Bank Holiday weekends, and 20 December – 2 January and is not available in conjunction with any special offers.
15% discount on food at the Devonshire Arms at Pilsley or Beeley, and at the Cavendish at Baslow. Discount available at the discretion of the Devonshire Arms or Cavendish Hotel. Patron cards must be presented at the time of ordering. Discount applies to the cardholder, and up to three guests. Not valid on public holidays, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentine’s Day, 24 December – 2 January, or in conjunction with any other special offer, event, or menu. Discounts are not available on weddings or private dining events.
Chatsworth Garden Centre
10% discount on full-priced items at the Chatsworth Garden Centre, excluding food. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, promotion or discount.
