Event details

Wednesday 3 July | 10am to 4pm

£65 per person

With summer underway and flowers all around, we invite you into the calm and healing environment of the garden for a day of personal reflection and connection to the natural world, led by herbalist Debbie Lincoln.

You will be guided through a range of calming activities, including gentle movement, guided relaxation and visualization, foraging and wild tea drinking. Your own personal journey will lead to the creation of your very own flower essence using traditional methods and the elements around you, including the waters that flow through the gardens. This practice is based upon the work of Hildegard of Bingen, a 12th century Abbess famed for her herbal knowledge.

About the session

The session includes tea, coffee and a delicious locally sourced graze box lunch from the Chatsworth Farm Shop.

The event will take place at the Chatsworth Stickyard which is an outdoor, covered venue located in the Stand Wood near the Farmyard. There is a fairly steep incline to reach the venue. We will be going out into the Chatsworth Kitchen Garden – there may be significant periods of walking and standing. Please ensure you dress appropriately for the weather.

Please contact education@chatsworth.org if you have any questions about access and we will be able to advise you.

Please alert the course leader if you have any food allergies.

Arrive for a prompt start at 10am.

A Celebrating the Cascade event

Our new Celebrating the Cascade wellness sessions have been designed to delight and inspire you. We invite you to enjoy the calm and beauty of nature in the garden and wider landscape. Find balance as you step away from daily routines and pause with us by still and flowing waters. We invite you to open your heart and mind to the environment and connect with our wonderful surroundings.

The Celebrating the Cascade project is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery Players, the project is working to restore the Cascade, safeguarding it for the enjoyment of future generations and enabling more people to get involved with Chatsworth.

If you would like to support this project, please make a donation to Chatsworth House Trust here.
