Don't forget to visit the farmyard and try out our woodland adventure playground. Our latest arrivals can't wait to meet you, from goat kids to lambs and calves.
Family Festival

Our family festival in the garden returns for a second year offering a host of entertainment and activities designed to entertain every family member.
Master gravity-defying circus skills or watch a big top circus show; run for gold in mini Olympic races for all ages; join a musical safari; be transported to far off lands by story time; make and shake your emotions with author Hannah Ormandy, or take part in workshops by authors/illustrators Lydia Monks and Bethan Woollvin.
Suitable for anyone aged 1 to 101, because who says the wonder of being a child should have an age limit?

Family Trail

Follow our family trail to discover the trout stream rapids, fossil spotting, and colourful flowers in the kitchen garden. You can collect a printed map from our house or garden entrances. Or click here to view a digital version (opens in PDF).
A garden ticket includes entry to the farmyard and adventure playground. Book online in advance for free parking.

From the farmyard, take the secret tunnel up to the children's playground and enjoy our huge woodland playground, sand pit and water play (waterproofs and wellies recommended!).

Head into Stand Wood and get building with natural materials.

Download and print our nature spotting guides and discover the birds, insects and wildflowers around you.
Picnic in the Park
You're welcome to picnic in our parkland. Bring a rug or use one of the picnic tables by the main car park.
Remember: we don't allow barbecues, camping rings or any type of heating device anywhere on the estate. Please take your rubbish home or use one of the bins provided. Dogs must be kept on leads. View park
Our parkland and woodland are free to access. You will need to buy a car park ticket if you wish to park at Chatsworth, or why not travel by bus.
